Agri-Food Pilot
The Agri-food pilot project helps meet the labor needs of the Canadian agri-food industry. The pilot provides a way for experienced non-seasonal workers in specific industries and occupations to obtain permanent residency.

Application requirements
If you lived in Canada at the time of submitting your application, you can choose to meet one of the work or education requirements.
If you live outside of Canada at the time of application, you must meet both job opportunities and educational requirements.
- The job must be real, and the eligible occupation listed in the eligible industry must be full-time non-seasonal paid work.
- There is no fixed end date.
- A Canadian high school diploma or
- An educational certificate assessment (ECA) report issued by a designated organization or professional institution, indicating that you have completed a foreign certificate in secondary school or above.
Your Canadian work experience must
- Have a work visa obtained with LMIA labor approval.
- The work experience obtained has at least 1 year of cumulative non-seasonal full-time work in the past 3 years and is engaged in one or more eligible occupations listed in eligible industries.
- Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Canadian Linguist (NCLC) Level 4
- Meat product manufacturing (NAICS 3116)
- Greenhouse, nursery and flower production, including mushroom production (NAICS 1114)
- Animal production, excluding aquaculture
- Cattle and breeding (NAICS 1121)
- Pigs and pigs (NAICS 1122)
- Poultry and egg production (NAICS 1123)
- Sheep and goat breeding (NAICS 1124)
- Other animal production (NAICS 1129)
